During my stay in Portugal, I decided to break from my friends for a day and leave Lisbon to visit Porto. At the last minute I booked a walking tour with Nuno. I'm so glad I did. The tour is easily one of the highlights of my 10 day trip. The meeting point was very easy to find from the train station and I found him pretty quickly. Due to a web site mix-up, I had actually scheduled a time and day that wasn't supposed to be offered! I was the only one who was able to purchase a ticket. Nuno was an absolute professional about it and, instead of cancelling what was, I'm sure, a tour that was not worth his while, he took me all over the city on an amazing private tour. Whatever you're interested in, tell him. He will customize the tour to your preferences and he seems to know everything about Porto, a city he is clearly very passionate about. From the old Jewish quarter to churches to the best cafes of the Belle Époque to bookstores to museums and street art to the history of the city itself, he is a fountain of knowledge and absolutely indefatigable. I'm certain he would have extended the tour if we had had more time. Should I find myself in Porto again, he's definitely the first person I will call to show me more of the city, which is as lovely and interesting as Nuno says it is.
